UPSLink

Overview

UPSLink is an Android UPS monitoring app for NUT, Network UPS Tools, and upsd-compatible UPS devices. It helps users monitor UPS status from servers they configure.

This policy explains how UPSLink handles information used to provide UPS status, alerts, and Android home screen widgets. UPSLink is designed to avoid unnecessary personal data collection.

Local Storage

NUT server details, UPS names, widget selections, notification preferences, and monitoring settings are stored locally on the user's device.

UPSLink does not require account creation, login credentials for an app account, or a user profile.

Network Access

UPSLink connects directly to user-configured NUT servers on the user's network. The app may use local network access to connect to NUT servers configured by the user.

UPS Monitoring Data

UPS status data may include battery percentage, runtime, load, voltage, UPS status flags, and replace-battery indicators.

Any monitoring data is used only to provide UPS status, alerts, and widgets. UPSLink does not intentionally transmit UPS monitoring data to a third-party server.

Notifications and Widgets

Local notifications may be used for power outage alerts, low runtime warnings, low battery warnings, connection alerts, and battery replacement recommendations.

Android home screen widgets may display selected UPS status information chosen by the user.

Data Sharing and Sale

UPSLink does not sell personal user data. UPSLink does not share personal user data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage purposes.

Personal Data Collection

UPSLink does not collect unnecessary personal data. The app is intended to monitor user-configured UPS devices and provide local status, alerts, and widget information.
